GloRilla surpassed major names like Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj and Doechii, marking a significant achievement in her career.

GloRilla had a rocky start to 2023 with singles like “Cha Cha” and “Pop It” not gaining much momentum. However, she made a strong comeback in 2024 with the smash hit “Yeah Glo!” which quickly climbed the Hot 100 charts. She also followed up with the successful tracks “Wanna Be” featuring Megan Thee Stallion and the summer anthem “TGIF.” Her performance alongside Megan Thee Stallion earned her praise for her headliner energy and with endorsements from Rihanna and Taylor Swift, GloRilla became a household name. In October, she released her debut album GLORIOUS, featuring notable collaborations with Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, and T-Pain.

Reflecting on her debut album, GloRilla shared that she initially planned to release it earlier but decided to drop a mixtape first to reconnect with her audience. She explained that the mixtape helped build momentum for the album, which was released after it successfully reintroduced her to fans.
